About This Course

The SEAQUEST course supports teachers and educators in bringing seagrass literacy, ocean conservation and environmental sustainability into primary education.

Seagrass meadows are among the most important marine ecosystems, providing habitats for marine species, supporting biodiversity, protecting coastlines and helping regulate the climate. Yet their importance is still largely absent from everyday school learning.

Through this course, participants will build their understanding of seagrass ecosystems, their ecological value, the threats they face and the importance of their protection, while also learning how to translate this knowledge into engaging educational experiences for children.
